The word is often used as a loose label to lend credibility to brands or processes, or to describe an intention rather than concrete circumstances. But for us at CC90 Construction, sustainability really is important.

It is all too easy for popular terms to become watered down over time. Sustainability is one example. The word is often used as a loose label to lend credibility to brands or processes, or to describe an intention rather than concrete circumstances. But for us at CC90 Construction, sustainability really is important. We have chosen to adopt the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s definition of sustainability: Lasting sustainability cannot be achieved without taking into account the three pillars of sustainability: economic sustainability, social sustainability and environmental sustainability. No objective can be achieved at the expense of another – and success is required in all areas for the objectives to be achieved.

How we work with sustainability

We have chosen to use the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's definition of sustainability: lasting sustainability cannot be achieved without considering the three components that sustainability consists of: economic sustainability, social sustainability, and environmental sustainability. No goal can be achieved at the expense of another – and success is required in all areas for the goals to be achieved.

Economic sustainability

CC90-UNUM makes it possible to keep the roof structure intact while optimising the load of the solar panels on the roof. With the goal of creating a strong yet gentle mounting system, we have also laid the foundation for a solution that is tight and future-proof. This, combined with a simple and fast installation, contributes to economic sustainability in both the short and long term. From the time and cost savings during installation, to the efficient utilisation of the roof's lifespan and thus also the operating time of the solar cell system.

Environmental sustainability

CC90 Construction aims to ensure that all our products can be recycled individually in accordance with our material quality and recycling/environmental policy. Our environmental plan also stipulates that our retailers must be aware of how our products are recycled.
Another important sustainability goal is to use composites instead of metal wherever possible. By using composites in mounting rails and fasteners, we reduce our CO2 footprint. But not only that. Thanks to our choice of a high-strength composite, we avoid energy-intensive processes but still get a material with high thermal strength and high melting temperature. Used correctly, composite is therefore environmentally friendly from an energy perspective, both in terms of production and recycling. A good choice!
